Our Steel Fabrication Process
Our Steel Fabrication Process
1
Project Review
We work with you to confirm the scope of works, project timings, key points of contact and more - everything we need to ensure a successful steel fabrication project.
3
Steel Fabrication
We commence the fabrication stage of the project upon client’s approval of drawings and keep the client informed on our progress.
5
Installation
Steel delivered on site is erected by our qualified riggers. On site welding may be required, in which case there will be boilermakers present as well.
2
Site & Design Review
We work with you to confirm the scope of works, project timings, key points of contact and more - everything we need to ensure a successful steel fabrication project.
4
Quality / Delivery
When fabrication is complete, we complete test assembly of components to ensure the specifications conform to the engineering drawings. Once all checks are complete, we arrange delivery of the steel to your site address..
Our Structural Steel Fabrication Capabilities

Steel Component Fabrication
Size doesn’t matter to us. We manufacture steel components small and large. What is common about the steelwork we fabricate is the clients’ need for a high quality finished product and/or steel that is being used in a demanding application or business critical project.
To ensure the highest steel manufacturing standards, all our fabricators are fully Australian qualified and professional boilermakers with experience in projects of all sizes. All fabrication work is supervised by a Certified Welding Supervisor to AS 2214.

Manufacturing to ISO 9001
Forged In Steel is an ISO 9001 certified company, providing fusion welding services within a full quality controlled manufacturing process, also known as a “factory production control system”.
ISO 9001 controls the entire lifecycle of the welding process, from design right through to inspection. It considers all aspects that could affect weld quality, making it essential for high quality structural steel fabrication, since it is impossible to undertake complete verification of a welded joint without destroying it.
Factory Fitout
Our steel manufacturing workshop on the Gold Coast services our clients across Queensland. The 2400 square metre site is set up for 24/7 production flexibility, with 10 individual welding bays, gantry crane for maneuverability and easy access for semi-trailers for us to accept structural members up to 25 metres in length.
