About the Position
We specialize in the technical manufacture and assembly of steel components for the industrial and government sectors. In this position you will be required to coordinate between operations and project management, while meeting the client’s expectations. You will need to provide regular updates to the senior management team regarding project progress, cost, budget and scheduling for all projects. Further duties include:
Liaising with suppliers on item details and pricing
Raising Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with supplier quotations
Ordering materials, and coordinate deliveries with Operations
Ensure that the relevant engineering standards are adhered to, including material specifications
Keeping track of project budgets and inform operations manager on progression
Technical documentation writing including but not limited to MDRs, ITPs, safety manual, etc.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer, working in a project-based environment. Further to this, the ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field of study
Experience in planning and schedule management
Experience in manufacturing (highly beneficial)
Experience working in a team-based environment
